If you're printer is not responding, or doesn't seem to be "acting
right", a good first step is the self test. The self test will verify
that the print mechanism and cartridges are correctly functioning. To perform the self test on HP DeskJet 600, 600C, 660C and all 690 series printers, press and hold the resume button for three seconds or until the printer begins printing the self-test. Release the resume button. To perform the self test on HP 670 and 680 series printers, with the printer turned on, press and hold the resume key until the printer begins to print. To perform the self test on HP 400 Series, start with the printer turned OFF. Press and hold the paper feed button, the press the power button. While still pressing the paper feed button, release the power button, then release the paper feed button. |
